Want to try indigo dyeing? Here's your chance to try one of the oldest and most loved textile dyes! You'll experience the magic of watching your fabric turn from green to blue as it comes out of the indigo vat and see first-hand the complexity of blues produced by this ancient and incomparable dye. We'll dye as much as we can over the course of the afternoon! Stay for the duration and watch how the blue changes, lightening as the vat wears.
Bring a favorite t-shirt, new cloth for your next sewing adventure, an unsuccessful weaving or dyeing project, a skein of yarn, shibori-stitched fabric, or ...

Create a light and airy nuno scarf in this one-day workshop. We will be felting with a palette of merino wool, and lightweight silk fabric in addition to using some resist and shibori techniques. One of the nice things about this scarf design is that very little wool comes in contact with the wearer’s skin, making it a great accessory for cool as well as warmer weather. This adaptable scarf pattern can be worn buttoned or draped.
Participants will create a soft, lightweight, and textural scarf using fine layers of merino wool, novelty fibers and a base of lightweight silk fabric. Learn how to choose materials and a surface design that can be elegant or playful, to suit your personal style.
This workshop is designed to give you a working knowledge of the nuno technique: a method of felting wool fibers into a fabric base. Participants will create their scarflette as they explore layout methods, fabric weights, and creative possibilities.
